Client: Callaway County Water District #1
Challenge: The Callaway County Water District #1 faced the challenge of efficiently mapping their extensive water system while also implementing a spatial tracking system for their 4,000+ water meters catering to a population of around 10,000 residents. Their infrastructure comprises of seven deep wells capable of pumping over 2,500 gallons per minute and an expansive network of over 185 miles of distribution water mains.
Solution:
For over a decade, SchraGIS Solutions has been an integral partner in advancing the GPS and GIS initiatives of Callaway County Water District #1 in Callaway County, Missouri, starting from 2011. Our tailored approach encompassed comprehensive Geodatabase design, empowering the Client's team through GPS field training for independent system localization, alongside proficient training in ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro.
This collaborative effort has yielded significant benefits, notably reducing project expenses while significantly augmenting the District's data collection capabilities. By 2024, the District has successfully amassed a database of over 16,000+ meticulously gathered points, each with sub-foot accuracy. Every utility locate request, project undertaking, or maintenance task conducted by the District's staff is meticulously documented, ensuring seamless accessibility and visibility across the entire team.
